Springing out of Winter and toward our Summer fun is slow-goin' this year but it won't be long before we're jumping into The River to cool off and rafting up boats and friends for many hours of laid-back Wylie fun.

Today it's rainy and cool in the late-April quiet of The Cow Cove but in just over a month she'll be hoppin' with music and rockin' with boats!

And after many months to rest up from past Fests, The Waters of Wylie are SO READY to bring back the mooo-sic and kick back for an afternoon and evening of good times.....

Lake Wylie Music Fest 2013 is on June 8th this year!

Music starts at 2pm goin' til dark when we'll have a fabulous FIRE finale by Stray Cat

Artists are lined up and itchin to play for us so please.....

We've got the rubber tie-dyed wristbands again and if you didn't get one before or you've misplaced your last one, BUY ONE NOW! They're selling for a suggested donation of $2 each with all proceeds going to Fest expenses. ... To purchase EMAIL US NOW

We've ordered a small sampling of women's tank tops and we think they're pretty cool. (As you know, the Fest is completely volunteer created, run, and performed. No one gets paid. We do, however have some small expenses that don't otherwise get covered to support the performer and crew's time here (meals, porta-poddy rental, incidentals), and these products help differ costs as needed. Someday we hope to be able to provide some small stipend to performers and crew to at least pay for travel costs if not more. Till then, we appreciate all your support thru the sale of wristbands and shirts as well as any material and volunteer contributions!)

Lake Wylie Music Fest is a Sunset Celebration - a time to celebrate the Wonderful Waters & Wonders of Wylie, the crazy funky floating folks of the Lake, and the spectacular fun to be had by creative minds & hearts. We challenge you, the RiverRats to show us what you got this year. Show your Fest spirit and take steps to make your floating fest even more festive .....

DECORATE YOUR BOAT! - do something out of the ordinary since, of course, this is The Cow Cove where Bessie & The Blues Brothers live! Be creative & put your special artsy flair into it! Make your boat into a Fest Float that's magical, hilarious, colorful, playful.....just express yourselves, RiverRats!
CREATE A DEE-LISH DISH & CONCOCT THE PERFECT SUNSET COCKTAIL! - it's a party and a party deserves special food & drink to make it truly memorable. The Lake is your inspired picnic spot, the Fest sets the groove, so what'll you and your boat guests dine on? What will you have to drink? Make it unforgettable and we'll reward your efforts!

Lake Wylie Music Fest ...

is a completely volunteer-driven not-for-profit community effort started by an individual lake resident who pulled together musicians, sponsors, equipment, website, e-news, stage and support production, and many, many, many details that can't be remembered.

If one person can do all of this, what can a whole team do?!!!!
